Solar Panel Sales Seen Dropping First Time in Decade, Feeding Glut: Energy - Bloomberg
While it may sound like a good thing that the prices for solar panels will soon drop (soon as in the next year or so) it comes at the heals of a decline in worldwide solar panel consumption. In fact, production of solar panels world wide will be the highest this year it has ever been. So, this is good for the individual, cause it means more abundant, cheaper panels. But, it's bad for the planet, cause it means big time energy companies world wide are going to look for cheaper (read "coal") alternatives to the high cost of solar.
If only people could see past their next year's fiscal budget!
